Commentators: Jim Ross & Paul E. Dangerously

World Championship Wrestling this week features championship action, as The Fabulous Freebirds defend the Tag Team Titles against The Lightning Express. A whole lot of other folks are in action as well, and Magnum Force technically main events WCW’s flagship show so I’d call this a win overall! Helluva return after a two-year hiatus that was totally on purpose and not because I lost my external hard drive and was too lazy to look for it.

[TV Review] Worldwide – 2.23.91

Commentators: Tony Schiavone & Gordon Solie

It’s the shortest month of the year and WCW will have managed to squeeze in FIVE Z-Man/Terry Taylor matches by the end of it. Crazy. Worldwide this week is pretty killer otherwise though with The Lightning Express taking on Arn Anderson & Barry Windham in the main event plus a handicap match between El Gigante and The State Patrol and a War Games warm-up for Sting, Brian Pillman, and The Steiner Brothers.

The Lineup

  • Tom Zenk vs. Terry Taylor
  • Ringside Interview: Ric Flair
  • Handicap Match: El Gigante vs. The State Patrol
  • Sting, Brian Pillman, & The Steiner Brothers vs. Rip Rogers, Jeff Stone, & Magnum Force

  • Sid Vicious vs. Rick Hardrock
  • The Lightning Express vs. Arn Anderson & Barry Windham

[TV Review] Main Event – 2.17.91

Commentators: Jim Ross & Missy Hyatt

The Z-Man and Terry Taylor wrestle each other for the third week in a row, Bobby Eaton takes too long to beat a jobber with a goofy mustache, and Jim Ross can’t hide his disgust with co-host Missy Hyatt very well. There’s a PPV next weekend to sort-of promote to, and sort-of promote it they do!

The Lineup

  • El Gigante vs. Bill Ford
  • Brad Armstrong vs. Rip Rogers
  • Bobby Eaton vs. Rob Morgan
  • Doom vs. Scott Allen & Carl Robertson
  • In-Ring Segment: The Danger Zone
  • Tom Zenk vs. Terry Taylor

The Lineup

  • Ringside Interview: Lex Luger
  • Doom vs. Tommy Angel & Harry Bronson
  • The Steiner Brothers vs. Cruel Connection & Italian Stallion
