*****

-KNOCKSVILLE USA CLIP: The Hardliners (Dick Murdoch & Dick Slater) attack The Steiner Brothers, injuring both Rick and Scott (moreso Scott who is out a legitimate four months with a bicep injury).

-Schiavone and Zbyszko are on location at the UIC Pavilion, the former accompanying the latter to the ring for a match. That’s a kickass idea for a remote, well-done WCW.

The Diamond Studd [w/ Diamond Dallas Page] defeated Kenny Kendall via pinfall with the Diamond Death Drop (2:20)

  • PRE-MATCH: DDP and Studd try out another “Studette”. She does a decent job but DDP tells her to scram anyway.
  • Steve Austin to be a guest on Larry Z’s Legends; Schiavone announces that Austin has upset Bobby Eaton for the World Television Championship and the “mystery” lady who kissed Eaton last week was his valet Lady Blossom. Yeah dude we know, watch the other shows.

-KNOCKSVILLE USA CLIP: The Steiner Brothers retain the IWGP Tag Team Championship over Hiroshi Hase & Masahiro Chono, in come The Hardliners to attack everybody but especially The Steiners, zeroing on Rick Steiner’s left arm trying to break it.

The Hardliners (Dick Murdoch & “Dirty” Dick Slater) defeated Tommy Angel & Terry Bronson when Murdoch made Bronson submit to Fujiwara Armbar (2:58)

  • POST-MATCH: Hardliners continue stomping Bronson’s left arm in an attempt to break it.

THE GREAT AMERICAN BASH CONTROL CENTER

Paul E. Dangerously quickly runs through the three matches already announced for the PPV, then announces a new match: El Gigante will take on One Man Gang. Clip of Gigante and Gang brawling at SuperBrawl, the former putting the latter on the stretcher that was originally meant for (and not used by) Sid Vicious. Kevin Sullivan throws powder in Gigante’s eyes, Gang throws the gurney on him.

Dangerously goes on to announce three more matches: Oz vs. ???, Big Josh vs. Black Blood in a Lumberjack Match, and Richard Morton vs. Robert Gibson. Clip from Knocksville USA of Morton’s attack on Gibson.

Johnny B. Badd [w/ Theodore R. Long] defeated Keith Hart via pinfall with a left hook (1:42)

  • Badd and Long dancing with each other during their entrance is adorable as f*ck.
  • INSERT PROMO: PN News raps some threats at Badd.
  • Badd has the win with a top rope sunset flip but wants to keep punishing WCW’s Best Bump Machine.
  • POST-MATCH: Ref tries to raise Badd’s arm but he slaps him away; only Long gets the pleasure of raising his hand in victory.

-BRICKHOUSE BONUS: Jack Brickhouse is here to talk about how “fun” The Desperados are, positions them as contenders for the Six Man Tag Team Championship. They’d need to actually wrestle first.

-Back at the UIC Pavilion Schiavone interviews Zbyszko in the ring. He’s mad about the reception he received; I distinctly heard “LARRY” chants during the first video but hey whatever.

Diamond Dallas Page leads Michael Hayes & Badstreet of The Fabulous Freebirds to the ring, followed up the rear (LOL…god I’m five years old huh) by the road boss Big Daddy Dink. This is the second time Jimmy Garvin has been nowhere to be found; guess he’s injured or something.

The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael “P.S.” Hayes & Badstreet) [w/ Big Daddy Dink] defeated Mike Jackson & Tim “Powerhouse” Parker when Badstreet pinned Jackson following a middle-rope DDT (3:29)

  • Hayes and Badstreet show off their Six Man Tag Team Titles; we’ll see how they won them on Main Event tomorrow night. DDP leaves with his Diamond Doll, Schiavone speechless at the sight of a woman.
  • Eyyyy Mike Jackson! He showed up on a random episode of Impact Wrestling in 2020 and had a banger of a match with Johnny Swinger despite being 70+ years old. Dude kicks ass. Jackson even gets some shine here, showing off his surprising agility. Of course he loses but still, shine is shine.

LARRY Z’S LEGENDS

Zbyszko’s guests are new Television Champion “Stunning” Steve Austin and his valet Lady Blossom. Clip of Austin rolling Eaton up for the win after Blossom planted a kiss on the Beautiful one. Austin says he made a statement that he’d take the title from Eaton and that’s what he did. Zbyszko says he can use that as a stepping stone to the World Title; Austin says that has indeed crossed his mind. Blossom pleads innocence about interfering in matches.

“The Rapmaster” PN News defeated Joe Cazana via pinfall with an accidental flying headbutt (1:10)

  • News went for the Broken Record, but slipped off the top and it became a flying headbutt instead. Could’ve been worse, glad he didn’t crash and burn on the floor or something.
  • POST-MATCH: News regales us with a celebration rap and dance. What poetry.

“The Total Package” Lex Luger defeated Tony Mello via submission with the Torture Rack (1:43)

  • “The World’s Strongest Man” Bill Kazmaier is once again in the front row wearing a Luger shirt and cheering his friend on.
  • INSERT PROMO: Luger says Flair’s time has come and it’s time for The Total Package.
  • POST-MATCH: Luger and Kazmaier do a Predator handshake.

VIGNETTE: THE DESPERADOS: PART 4

Dutch Mantell, Black Bart, & Dead-Eye Dick are around a campfire making dinner. Mantell says he could feel that Stan Hansen was in town but they missed him due to being stuck in jail. Dick gives Mantell and Bart some beans; Dick loves them but Mantell and Bart are not impressed. They smell something foul but it ain’t the beans and they slap Dick with their hats.

  • Man it feels like they barely even tried with this one.

The Yellow Dog defeated Rip Rogers via pinfall with a flying crossbody (1:50)

  • The masked Yellow Dog makes his way out, using Brian Pillman’s music. Wait that can’t be right, they are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PEOPLE.
  • INSERT PROMO: Barry Windham knows The Yellow Dog is Brian Pillman and when he takes the mask off he will be gone from WCW forever. I think he’s going to be disappointed because they are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PEOPLE.

-Back at the UIC Pavilion Zbyszko blames the crowd for his walking out on his scheduled match, not being given the proper respect. Schiavone says he was supposed to show what he’s made of, Zbyszko says he did as it’s his way way or the highway. Zbyszko walks off, Schiavone signs off as another clip of The Hardliners’ attack plays.
