*****

Brian Pillman is shown buying a ringside ticket at the arena box office. WCW really playing itself by showing how easy it is to get a ringside ticket so close to showtime.

-Schiavone and Solie welcome the home audience, sad about Pillman no longer being able to wrestle.

Barry Windham defeated Greg Sawyer via pinfall with the Superplex (1:54)

  • An angry Brian Pillman is shown watching the match, Windham throwing verbal jabs his way. Pillman stands and teases getting involved but thinks the better of it.
  • Windham is wearing different-colored boots this week due to the Gorilla stealing one of his black ones last week. I was way too excited to type that sentence.
  • POST-MATCH: Windham shoves Pillman, Pillman hops the railing and is kept at bay by WCW officials, security, and bff El Gigante. Deja vu, y’all.

The Steiner Brothers (Rick & Scott Steiner) defeated Chuck Coats & Jim Boss when Scott Steiner pinned Boss with the Frankensteiner (1:44)

THE GREAT AMERICAN BASH CONTROL CENTER

Paul E. Dangerously announces the main event: Lex Luger will challenge Ric Flair for the World Heavyweight Championship in a Steel Cage match. Both have comments, only one is actually going to wrestle at the Bash. Dangerously promises to announce more matches next week. Can’t wait. I hope they have a Scaffold Match with Capture the Flag rules. Wait nah that’s too dumb.

“The Rapmaster” PN News defeated Hacksaw Higgins via pinfall with the Broken Record (1:17)

“The Natural” Dustin Rhodes defeated Tim Frye via pinfall with the Bulldog (1:25)

  • Rhodes takes his aggression out over the past few weeks on Frye, damn near taking his head off with a corner clothesline, before slowing it down for no reason with a hammerlock. Dude just body the man and go back to the locker room, pay is the same. Work smarter, not harder.

-LAST WEEK ON PRO: Nikita Koloff attacks Sting during his entrance for the eight-man tag team main event. Then they show the whole dang match, which features PN News taking Sting’s place in the match and the Schiavone/Zbyszko commentary at REAL LOW volume. Sting returns, bandage around his head, to attack and brawl with Koloff. You can read all about that in more detail by clicking the words you are reading with your face right now.

-VIDEO: The Desperados roll into Ghost Town and confront the Marshall. Schiavone and Solie then segue into the continuation of this story right…now.

VIGNETTE: THE DESPERADOS

The Desperados are revealed to be “Dirty” Dutch Mantell, “Slightly Cleaner” Black Bart, and a goofball known as Dead-Eye Dick. They walk towards the Marshall and instead of shooting him they say hello as they pass him by. Mantell and Bart argue about why they’ve arrived to town (to find Stan Hansen and get into WCW), Dead-Eye Dick breaks off and stumbles into a saloon. Mantell talks about the letter Hansen sent them to meet him here, Bart doesn’t believe the letter is true. Arguing turns to hugging and excitement.

Meanwhile at the saloon Dick sits down at a card table. Cut back to Mantell and Bart, Bart thinks Dick wrote the DAD GUM letter, Mantell says Stan Hansen did it. They talk about how Dick can’t talk, hear, or barely see. Back to the saloon where a patron accuses Dick of cheating at cards. Right back to Mantell and Bart DADGUMMIN’, they realize that they lost Dead-Eye Dick. They go off in search of their man.

Back at the saloon a patron breaks a bottle over Dick’s head, the Marshall throws him out of the saloon..and right to Mantell and Bart. They hit Dick a few times with their hat and leave to go find Stan Hansen.

  • These motherf*ckers are gonna wear me down and I’m gonna end up loving these stupid vignettes, aren’t I? DADGUMMIT.

“Dangerous” Dan Spivey [w/ Theodore R. Long] defeated Jamie McKinnon via pinfall with a powerbomb (1:36)

  • Schiavone and Solie threaten us with MORE Desperados next week. Fine, if I have to.
  • I love Spivey taking the Powerbomb back now that Sid has moved on to administer JUSTICE in another company.

“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair defeated Johnny Meadows via submission with the Figure Four Leglock (2:32)

  • POST-MATCH: Flair continues attacking Meadows as Schiavone signs off.
